Looking for the best prints on glass ? Viewcol has the simplest top quality solution with its Sublistyle® product range. Your original image will be electronically transferred to be used in the original format; we will produce the printed PET film and ship it back to you in a tube for local lamination.
Advantages using Sublistyle:
- Sublistyle offers an almost unlimited range of colours. You can obtain thousands of different colours by using four-colour ink (CMYK). There is no additional cost when adding a new colour to your design. That is why it is a fantastic option to print photos and graphic designs.
- Viewcol does not need to set a minimum print run, minimum invoice amount is for 1m2. Whether we personalise 1 or 1000 units, the unit cost remains the same.
- After sublimation, the printing gets integrated into the substrate and becomes part of it. The print itself, thus not referring to the PET film (!) is unnoticeable to the touch and will not lose its colour.
Disadvantage using Sublistyle
- The biggest disadvantage is that the process is much slower than other printing methods, for instance direct on glass. There are more steps in dye sublimation, and it requires additional labour, which can cause the price to be a bit higher than other processes. But the quality of the end result of the product will surprise you.

Sublilam super high quality image reproduction on PET film for lamination in glass. Sublilam is a well-established name in the glass world. Viewcol has two Sublilam products: Clear film and Opaque white film substrates.
Sublilam Clear
Clear transparent PET film with thickness 125 microns initially meant for solar industry applications. Easy to laminate at 120 degrees for a perfect result. As the film is meant to be exposed to sunlight, the PET film is very much suited for exterior applications.
Sublilam Opaque white
Our Opaque white is a two ply PET film with thickness 175 microns developed as a backsheet for solar industry applications. Easy to laminate at 120 degrees for a perfect result. Also this PET film is developed to be as much as possible in the sun and very much suited for exterior applications. This film is actually the 125 microns clear film with a 50 microns opaque white film ready laminated to it. As the film is not 100% opaque (17% visible light transmittance) this makes it suitable for backlit. Please ask for more information or turnkey solutions.
Other levels of transparency are created by using certain interlayers, films or glass:
– Interlayers like a shade, milky white or white
– Back painting glass
– Acid etched glass
– Mirror
Sublilam is compatible with EVA and TPU. In case PVB is used please check the adhesion of the PET to the PVB.
SubliSwitch®

SubliSwitch is the by Viewcol patented printed switchable (PDLC) film. PDLC is “polymer dispersed liquid crystals” and by means of electricity changes from opaque (no see through) to clear transparent. The film is laminated between glass or glued onto glass (retrofit). With the turn of a switch the glass changes from transparent to full privacy opaque.
SubliSwitch is the first of a series of hi-tech products in the Sublistyle product range. Viewcol uses Gauzy top quality PDLC as substrate. The print is applied to BOTH sides of the PDLC to make SubliSwitch look the same on both sides in the opaque state. This is the ultimate product to bring personalized colourful architectural designs to offices (corporate colours as part of the space), hospitals, hotels, institutions, museums, bathrooms, …. Viewcol works closely with top designers and can assist realizing your architectural dreams.

Subliclear ®

Subliclear is the self-adhesive version of Sublilam® perfect for non-permanent applications like shopping malls, airports, offices or window displays when high quality imagery is required but no structural installation changes are allowed. The film has a UV resistant layer to protect the imagery from light ensuring a long life cycle. For all Subliclear products a different transfer technique is used suiting the product better. However, Subliclear’s image quality is as superb as the other Sublistyle® products. We do not keep Subliclear in stock so leadtimes may vary.
